Our very own "Duke" captured this photo of Keswick B&B's from across Hope Park. Ours is about in the middle.
A 9 hole pitch and putt was across the street. Hum, my short game does need a bit of work.
If you are willing and able, you can climb and hike ALL around the lake (Stacy did).
Some of us took a boat ride part of the way around the Derwentwater Lake and walked back to Keswick.
Kids were at an Outdoor School and learning boating and hiking. What a fun school that would be.
Lee and Norm are departing to climb the 1,480 feet Catbells. Have fun...
Keswick is a wonderful plae to holiday and take your best friends. Tom and I made friends with one on holiday.
Here's our stop. We are getting off and walking back.
Any minute now, Tom will break into song, "the hills are alive, with the sound of music…"
The hills are alive with foxglove
I decide to walk the rest of the way back instead of catching the boat. Bye friends...
I made it back and only had one slight detour.
I feel the same way, wet and dog-tired.
Relaxing at the B&B
The "dark of night" doesn't come very early here in the summer. It was almost 10 pm when I took this out my window.
Our time in Keswick is about over. I think we are sad to leave.
"Yes, I think we should go this way" Ian says to Tom. Ian was a terrific bus driver! Tom was a very, very, very, very, very, VERY good guide, too.
