El Fin del Mundo - the end of the world
Ushuaia, which means “ bay overlooking the west” in the Yamana language, is the southernmost city of the world and the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. In 1870 British missionaries arrived, gold prospectors in the 1880’s, and in 1896 it was established as a penal colony.
